PARISH MINISTRIES

If you are interested in becoming a member of any of our parish ministries listed below, or would like additional information, please contact the individual listed under that specific ministry or call the parish office at 610-847-5521.
Church Cleaning Ministry: Urgent need for “more hands” willing to give an hour or two, once a month. “Leviticus 15: Cleanliness is Next to Godliness.” To volunteer, please call the parish office and leave your contact info.
Evangelization Ministry:  The great missionaries, saints and doctors of the Church share a total consecration of their life and apostolate to the Blessed Virgin Mary. All great Evangelizations were profoundly Marian. The greatest “New Evangelization” after the time of Christ and the Apostles was the ministry of St. Francis of Assisi who “rebuilt” the Church. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our Evangelization Committee works to spread the Gospel through active participation in our parish and community. Reaching out to all to bring about a deeper faith and relationship with God. If you would like to learn more, Contact Laura Gumprecht at sjbevangel@stjohnsottsville.org.
Flame of Love Rosary Group: Join us each Wednesday morning at 8AM on the Marian side of the church to pray the rosary. This Flame of Love is Jesus living in Mary’s Immaculate Heart. The effect of this Flame is to burn so brightly that it blinds Satan- freeing souls from his grasp. All ages are welcome and encouraged to pray with us!
Knights of Columbus: Knights are Catholic men, 18 yrs. and older who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about practicing and enhancing your family life.
